Porosity test

This is the fundamental check to know the condition of the cloth, as well as to value the glider when buying or selling it. It consists of measuring how fast the air filters through the wing fabric. If it becomes too permeable, the performance and, more importantly, the safety of your glider can be seriously compromised. A porous glider can experience symptoms such as: parachuting, changes in sink rate and horizontal speed, hard spots on inflation and difficulty recovering from collapses.
At GGAparapente we recommend periodic revisions after two years of use and every 100 hours of flight.
