This is the fundamental check to know the condition of the cloth, as well as to value the glider when buying or selling it. It consists of measuring how fast the air filters through the wing fabric. If it becomes too permeable, the performance and, more importantly, the safety of the glider will be reduced.
Parachute folding
At GGAparapente we are expert folders, with experience in any type of parachute on the market. When you bring us your parachute to ventilate and repack it is recommended that you do it together with your harness, this way we will deliver your equipment folded and installed correctly.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS
I get dizzy easily Can I fly?
Motion sickness is the most typical inconvenience of paragliding. One or two people out of ten may experience this symptom because of the way the paraglider moves through the air. The excitement of the moment and looking around constantly do not help the problem. The best thing to do is to fix your eyes on the horizon and breathe slowly. If you are going to make a paragliding flight and you have a tendency to dizziness, it is not superfluous to take a "Biodramine" half an hour before your flight, it is not common for our passengers to get dizzy, but equally, if you get dizzy very easily, you can take a remedy against dizziness. It is sold both in pills and chewing gum and it is advisable to buy the one with caffeine, as it produces some drowsiness, but don't worry... You won't fall asleep while paragliding!
I have vertigo CAN I FLY?
Of course it is! Vertigo is often confused with fear of heights. With vertigo, what happens is that we lose our balance and, therefore, the feeling of security when we lean out of a high place. As we have no points of reference nearby, this uncomfortable phenomenon appears. But in paragliding, the position we take from the beginning is seated, therefore, we do not need balance and this feeling of insecurity does not appear. All our passengers check it daily and are pleasantly surprised. This is not the case of phobia to heights, if this is your situation, better stay on solid ground...
Is there a WEIGHT, AGE OR HEIGHT limit?
Weight must be between 20 kg and 100 kg, with an additional charge of 30 € for those over 90 kg. There is no minimum age limit, but the maximum age is 70 years. The minimum height for children is 100 cm, and the maximum height allowed is 200 cm.
